Bhavna,

I like this painting.  I think I see what you mean about the water - the waves are too big for such a calm scene.

Other than that, I think you did a beautiful job.

Jennylynn....The colors are great.  I love the dark greens and the shading.  Great job.

Bhavna....Nice earthy colors.  I like the background of houses.

Good jobs, girls.  I like them both.

Nice job Jennylynn and Bhavna.  He was painting at such a speed I had difficulty keeping up:)  Looking forward to painting this when the replay comes out.

    Very nice job Jill, you have captured the wave beautifully, your trees are great. My only suggestion would be to lighten the foreground bush which in my very humble opinion seems a little dark but then I would wait for the more experienced artists to see what their opinions are and what they suggest.  Patricia

Thanks for your comments Patricia.  You are right.  The darks are very dark.  I think I get it right the first time.  Then every time Dennis says we need more darks,  I put on more darks and then he says we need to darken and again I add darks until I have something that looks like mud.  I'll redo the whole painting when the replay comes out and see if I can get my fingers to do what the brain tells them to.  Each one of these exercises teaches me something, hopefully making me a better artist down the road.
