Val, it will be chalk pastels, not oil. Dennis suggested starting off with a small set, one that has just a few of each color - perhaps a set of 50. Anyway, before I start giving wrong information :crazy2:  (especially about when this is all happening) hopefully the replay comes up soon so you can get the correct information from the man himself ......  :smitten:

Pastels!!! I definitely missed that! Something else to try. I know nothing about pastels, although, I knew nothing about watercolors and very little about oils when I started here.

Pat, thank you for your comment. It's always nice when someone notices your absents! I have been gone for a while. Hopefully, I will be able to get back into the swing of things pretty soon! (At least, I think your comment was for me.  I think I am the only Tina on here!!! If not, I will fade back into my hole of obscurity! :2funny: )

Christina, Please don't go into obscurity for while I don't always respond to everybody, I do miss you when I don't see any posts or activity from you.  However, I saw that Tina Verpoorten joined the class yesterday and she hasn't posted for quite a long while so I was happy to see her name.  I am like a mother hen with her chicks and am happiest when everyone is around.  I hate to see our regular members not posting or being quiet and that includes you.  So, I am happy to hear that you will be getting back into the swing of things and it makes me feel contented.  Blessings, Patricia

You will have to read the PDF or watch the replay as Dennis mixes the colors. The most famous ones are "mishmashes" on different tones and colors. The main color used in this painting is cobalt blue, then orange, yellow, browns, etc. Doina

:bigwelcome: Sweetrose!    Below is a pdf of equipment you will need to start. You will find a list of the most used colours to date. Hope this helps you out. If not.... just holler!  :yippee:

This was a fun lesson.  Will have to do it again, and do a better job on the bushes.
