Thanks for the the well wishes for my brother, but sadly he passed away on April 5th. It was a shock to us all. This past week we placed his ashes in The Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, a place he loved. We were planning a trip up there when he passed.

He really loved that tree I drew, I haven't drawn anything since then, just looking at it reminded me of that day sitting in his ICU room when I drew it. But he really loved it and all my drawings and encouraged me to keep at it. So today I will do just that. I just signed up for the VIP Club  :cheering: . I want to just jump right in and get paint, charcoal, and pencil dust all over me. I know it will help me deal with his loss, that he would have wanted me to get better with my art. And some day I hope to draw that tree again this time with him sitting underneath it and the mountains in the distance  :painting: no time to waste, I gotta get busy  :run:

Nice tribute of your brother, you gave me shivers.  My simpathy to you and family.
When my mother past away 7 years ago now, I went on a pastel crase, and drew portraits of my mom 5 times to give as xmas present to my sibling and dad.   It did help me cope with the pain.
Do that tree when you are ready it will be such a wonderfull memory for you.
Thinking of you.

So sorry to hear Glenda. It's always difficult even when we are forewarned, moreso when we are not.

Take solace in your artwork, I know he would be proud.  :1hug: Condolences to you and yours.
Cheers, Val
