Attachment one (labeled "Gallery") is the screen shot of the "welcome screen i start at.  Clicking on 'My album takes me to Attachment two (labeled "Album")  Clicking on H2O takes me to Attachment 3 ( Labeled "album2)

okay I see what is happening. You are creating albums instead of adding items inside an album. That is why you are not finding your BBC embed codes etc.

Think of your gallery as a bookshelf in the lounge. You want to keep all your photos on the bookshelf, but also keep them organised so that when family come and visit you can quickly find the family photos. When your watercolour buddy comes to visit you want to quickly be able to painting album off the shelf to show him your latest paintings, etc. So you head off to the shops and buy a few photo albums. You mark one "family photos" and the other "watercolour paintings". Now you go and place the family photos inside the "family photos" album and your painting photo inside the "watercolour paintings" album. You then place the albums on the bookshelf (gallery). When the family come to visit, you can grab the "family photos" album off the shelf and let them page through that.

Inside your gallery here on Paint Basket you also create different albums to add your photos into, eg. one for watercolour, another for oil paintings etc. Then you place your photos inside the correct album to ensure they remain grouped and organised.

When you first start out you need to create those albums so you can add your photos inside them. To do this click the gallery icon at the top (in the orange box). That will take you to your gallery (bookshelf). You can then read the spine of each album (the list of all the albums in your gallery). At this point your gallery shows the 2 photos you wanted to add (they are now album covers, so we want to delete them). Delete them. This will "empty your bookshelf".

Then go and create a new album called watercolour paintings - use any one of your paintings as the cover, or even no photo at all.

This basically places an empty photo album on the bookshelf. You now need to add some photos to your album for your visitors to look at when they page through the album.

To add photos to the album, click the gallery icon in the orange block again. You are now basically standing in front of your bookshelf. You will now see your watercolour album listed (and eventually all the albums names you have created and placed on the shelf).

If you click the album name it will open the album up - just like taking the album off the shelf, placing it on the table and opening the album up to the first page - which is empty at this point.

You can now start adding photos your album by clicking the "add an item to this album" button as per the first post in this topic.

just bumping this topic up for every body to see.

I have disabled the attach feature, so it is only possible to add a photo to your posts by using the gallery.
The gallery is more flexible and keeps all the images in one place O0
