A friend told me about a free website that I used today to set up my gallery.  I don't have the commercial aspect set up yet, but will probably use PayPal.   http://longlostart.weebly.com/

Right now it is just more of an interest-generating thing.  I have named my business, Long Last Art.

(Long is my last name and "long lost" is the art skill I never knew I had.

Please check it out and give me ideas for making it better.  I have not labeled anything because I wanted to get the basic stuff down first.  It only took about three hours!

   Good on you Mea! I have been trying to set one up myself! Right now I am battling with this confounded computer.  :tickedoff: For whatever reason, some of the keys have decided to take on another language! So no apostrophes and various other bits.  :banghead:

You are off to a great start with the site. I may just go have a look at the weebly site. Has got to be simpler than the one I have been battling, I was almost ready to give up on the idea.

So thanks for that, once I have a look around their site, I may have some suggestions for you. Looking good so far!  O0

In the meantime..... Congratulations on your website!  :yippee:
Cheers, Val

Thanks, Didwad and Val.  I was so pleased to be able to set up that site.  It is sooo very easy.  I did a Google Site for my husband and it was not nearly as user friendly as Weebly!

It's free right now, but I'm sure if I want to add a selling feature, there will be a cost for that.

I hope to have the blog feature of the site set up later today.

That looks great Mea, I've put that weebly site to my favourites, for later, when I'm a big girl. ;)

Congratulations, Mea!  I wish you every success with your new website.  :flowers:

You're a very artistic couple.  I enjoyed seeing your hubby's woodworking pieces.

Lillian, Thanks for checking my new website out.  Yes, I am proud of my husband's work also.  I think I will make him a weebly page, too.

Germa,  Thanks.  I feel young, even though I turned 70 last week.

Thanks, Jennylynn, glad my website info was part of your daily PB fix.  I'm addicted, too.

Congratulations Mea on your website.  I wish you much success and happiness with your new venture.  I think you are such a brave girl but as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained. By the same token, it pays to advertise.  I have just read a very pertinent saying which goes something like this "the person who stops advertising to save money is like the person who stops the clock to save time".  Just made me laugh!!  Anyway, everything of the very best to you.  Patricia

Thanks, Patricia.  If nothing else, the website will give me something to play with.  I love to keep challenging myself to learn new things.

Thanks, Natalie.  I just wanted to prove to myself that I could do it.  Now my friends and family can see my work.

Nolan and others who had positive comments on my new website.

Thanks for taking time to take a peek.

I was pleased to be able to give a plug for paintbasket.com.
