I have found this picture in a book called charcoal drawing by Ken Goldman published by Walter Foster publishing company in N.Y. in the artist's library Series. On the inside cover it say: " this book has been published to aid the aspiring artist. Reproduction of the work for study or finished art is permissible"   I love the picture, and I am a dog lover. I scanned it for use by our aspiring artists. Enjoy it, you can print it or draw it free hand. Doina

Doina that is one beautiful Basset Hound. I love these guys, we had a lovely one as a dock neighbour years ago. Her name was Rebecca. Shadings and textures very well done.  O0

:thankyou: for the info on the book!  O0

I've already commented on this drawing when you first posted it in your gallery, but it is so wonderfully drawn that I had to comment again here!  Really, Doina, you have done a fantastic job!      I can't remember seeing a better picture of one of our furry friends. You captured him/her perfectly!   :congrats:
Cheers,
Jani

:surrender:  Please ladies, I do not deserve the credit I am given  I found the drawing and I posted for anyone to use it. It is a copy of a picture from the book. It is copy rights free for artists to use it. But, I will try to draw it soon. Doina

:thankyou:  Doina, for the information about the book and for posting the drawing.  I love dogs too, in fact, I am an avid lover of all animals except reptiles like snakes and crocs which scare the heck out of me!!!  Patricia
