Hi

I have a problem with changing the time setting in the Live Painting Classes section

I clicked on the Change next to timezone and selected Australian Eastern Standard Time and then it just hangs and hangs and hangs and then locks up my browser which I have to restart.   I've tried about 10 times now to no avail including a full reboot of my machine......also waited about 15 minutes to see if it was just slow.

Is it possible you can change it for me or is it  bug?

Thanks
Jackie

I had no problems, changing the timezone, so I don't think it's a bug.
Just tried it a second ago, no problems changing the time zone.

There have been a few problems with time zones. I have the correct timezone selected, but it never displays the correct time.  :D Best to ignore that and just go by the countdown timer when it gets close to class time. It always works.  O0

The problem is I wanted to see what time the class start in Aussie time which I think will be 7am but not sure(I suck at timezones which is why I change it to mine usually)

I can't see myself being in the painting zone at 7am LOL

If you start monitoring the countdown timer a day or so before the class you will be able to work out your start time. The timer is geared for start of class NZ time, so it is always right. If the timer says 48 hours to start, it's also 48 hours to your start. Just add the 48 hours on to whatever time it is where you are, and you'll have your start time.
Geez I hope this makes sense!  ;D

you can also set your timezone in the forum - click the Profile link, then Look and Layout.

If you don't win, let me know which timezone you want and I'll set it for you

I've been away from Paint Basket too long and can't remember how to properly change my timezone to Melbourne, Vic, Australia ... it used to be spot on when I was attending webinars ... but I'm not sure now if I still got it right ... I tried the Look and Layout and selected Auto Detect, but the "Current Forum Time" given is still not the same as Melbourne's ...    :help:

Sorry ... I think I've worked it out now, ie by changing the time zone in Paint Basket TV.
