Can anyone explain to me what I'm doing wrong? The last two photos I posted did not appear in the Gallery.

I am assuming you mean the recent items as shown on the forum page.
Your pics are in the main Gallery. There have been over 50 posts to the gallery in the last 3 days which means that your pic may have been in the recent items for only a few minutes before it was replaced by newer items. In other words, you haven't done anything wrong.

Hi Dorothy. I think I can. Photos are displayed according to the date determined by your camera or scanner. They are in the gallery, but haven't made the first page. This is odd for you because you are from Australia. It happens to us North Americans quite frequently because we are a day behind you. Kind of an odd system. It means you have to hit media, or you will never see some of the artwork being posted. Some of them are viewed only once or twice. I'm afraid it is discouraging new members who are not aware. For you, be sure to scan or take the photo on the day you post, not the day before. Check that the date/time settings are correct in your camera. For us North Americans? Our only hope is a slow posting day. All members, be sure to check the media tab each day, or you may get the impression that nothing is going on. Quite often the same photos are staying on that front page all day, but there is lots of activity happening on page two or three! They do not go into the forum gallery in the order they are posted.

Thank you Musika and Sarah. I don't fully understand the explanation.  :2funny:  but I hit the Media tab and there was my photo. I generally go straight to the forum page as soon as I post a photo into my album and I used to see my picture in the forum gallery immediately but I guess there are a lot of photos being posted now. Just means that PB is very popular.  :tooth:

Another reason why it's good to put a post in the appropriate section so everyone gets a chance to see.  O0

Thank you Musika and Sarah. I don't fully understand the explanation.  :2funny:
Neither do I Dorothy, I don't understand why there isn't a simple queue system whereby the last picture in pushed the first one in off the end of the line. The rule would have to be no more than three uploads per day, I would think. However, I know nothing about the workings of the front page so can't help you!!
Hang in there & keep posting!! :2funny: :2funny: :yippee:
I live to draw and paint, it a good thing that I don't have to draw and paint to live!

Yes Roxy. I've forgotten about the problem already.  :2funny:
