Hi everyone

Bad scan for some reason, can't get it to pick up the blues / yellows properly and the grasses on the left hardly show up at all, but here is my go at the Blue Gum tree anyway.

With over 500 varieties of Gum Trees here in Australia, I'm sure this resembles at least one of them. And that magpie is safe at this time of the year. They only get nasty around nesting time in spring...

Let me know what you think.

Bman, great job         excellent on the misty background trees. The blue gum looks to be one of those indeterminableous varieties.   Must be the same family as mine!  ;D
Cheers, Val

Batman, I saw this thumbnail and had to come in and say this is really beautiful.  I like the difference between the foreground and background and the tree looks so natural to me.  The bird is also great!  O0 :smitten:

:thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: Val, Patricia, Dennis, Brian, Sarah and njnjgirl.

I promised some photos of gum trees when the lesson first went to air, and I still mean to to that. The last few weekends have been miserable crappy drizzly weather. When I get a clear weekend I'll get some photos and post them as freebies.

Here is my paint along that I did with Dennis a couple of weeks ago. I just did not get around to putting it on. I think my man is too big. Oh well.

The blue in the tree is beautiful! Looking at the wheel ruts, then imagining a driver, I think he works just fine. I like his hat. :urwelcome:
