Hi Nolan

I am very far behind in this course.  I just see that I can't access the videos now.  I did download the theory lessons into Acrobat but when I want to watch the lessons, it states my access expired on 12 March ?  Is this right or am I doing something wrong.

Ronelle

k, now let's take a look at your drawings :

Mug : I like your hatching, you have done that well. Where there is a problem is the shape of the cup, but it is easily fixed, so let's take a look at how to do that.

The main thing is the symmetry of the cup. You can see from the pic below where I have pointed out the two places where you need to adjust the symmetry a bit.

Then on the shadow, the one direction of hatches is darker than the other which makes the table look like it's going up. So just add a few more dark hatches in the opposite direction to flatten that out. I have added a pic below where I have made the changes to your drawing so you can see the difference.

It's amazing how sometimes, just a few small changes like this can make a huge difference.

Teddy : You have done a superb job with Teddy, well done  :yippee:. This shows to me that you have improved a heap from the previous drawing (cup) so the cup was a great learning curve for you. I can see you understand how the plane lines work and that is a very important part of being able to draw successfully O0

Looking forward to the next drawings  :gl2:
