Hello everybody

Here are my efforts at Lesson 46 - Abstract Paintings.

Chaos
Chaos
Miracle
Miracle
Swirling Emotions
Swirling Emotions

Let me know what you think. Various things I used were, bubble wrap (instead of cling film), masking fluid, methylated spirits, a straw, bamboo skewer and Epsom Salts.

And no lack of colour.

Of course... :2funny:

Posted the wrong one before.
Harald - I see people on the fence too - and a landscape - that one begs to become a semi abstract. Imbatman, I particularly like the bubbles in the chaos (how were they made?) and the fact that it seems to have a sort of focal point. Swirling emotions is the next choice - I like the movement. Miracle has a nice distribution of colour but no focus - isn't it interesting how these unplanned ones turn out?

:thankyou: Bhavna, Karen, Mary , Dianne, Zayn and jennylynn.

For those wanting to know, Chaos was made by painting the bubble side a sheet of bubble wrap with all different colour swatches and then gently laying it bubble side down on the paper. Sort of an under painting if you like. Then I went over it with some stronger paint with a brush that I then sprayed with water mist, an allowed to merge and semi-dry then fiinally the bubbles came from Metho dropped on from a pipette drop by drop.

Nice work Karen. Bright!

Very nice Denise. Even though I prefer reds and purples, the blue one of yours has a little something extra!

Hee, hee, no one has asked why the second one is called "Miricale" yet. I thought that would be the first question asked!

Maybe you've all worked it out already...

Well it looks like it has been busy on here. Harald, Red1 nice job. Thanks for the comments on mine. It is so interesting what people seen in a painting. Jennylynn I had to look for a while to see the dog. But I could see where you got that one. My husband saw dragons. I don't know what he is on.  :2funny: :2funny:
I used good old Wal Mart alcohol on mine. Now what do I see. Well I saw a distant galaxy, or remember that movie where this scientist had a tumor in his brain, and they could not operate. So that took this man and his machine and shrunk him done and shot him into the vein of the scientist. [can't remember the name of movie] But inside you saw all this different weird looking things. Well that's my painting.  :2funny: :2funny:  But of course I am not from this planet.  :yippee:
Batman as always you rock. Have you sold any of your abstracts yet? Karen I like your bold colors. If I missed someone I am sorry. You all are doing great. I actually like doing this. I did not think I would. So off to do another one.
