Does any one know if 240 lb. 400 gsm acrylic Stathmore 400 pads would work well with watercolor? It says linen finish and is on sale below the price of 140/300. I feel the painting bug and want to do a big background wash. Perhaps even a deadly soaking in my traditional beginners fashion!

I would not know Bryce. All I know is that a good sheet of watercolor paper is just the most luscious stuff in the world. Especially if you feel a big dreamy wash coming on. It just acts different, looks different. The watercolor just wants to behave and do translucent, wonderful things because the paper is sooooooo yummy.
