Hi Nolan . . .  yep, it's me again, the proverbial bad penny!  :2funny:

This time though, I need some help getting started in the "Lets Draw Course"
I purchased the course but when I log in and click on the "palette" icon all that comes up is the "Perfect Painting Course" and a note telling me that I'm expired.
None of the courses I've paid for are showing up - and it should show 6 paid for classes, including the Let's Draw Course.
If I should be asking this somewhere else, would you please direct me to the appropriate spot?

Thanks!

Hi Roxy

The Lets Draw course and all the other classes are on the Paint Basket TV side of the website.
Click the big blue Paint Basket TV button at the top of the website
Then click the green My Classes button
From there you can access all the classes you have bought

Let me know if you have any hassles

Okay,  I'm not explaining myself very well.  :(

I have no problem accessing any of the classes. In fact, I just received day 2 of the Let's Draw.

What I am having trouble with is trying to set it up so I can watch "Let's Draw" offline.

Clicking on the "palette" icon in the log in area does not show anything except the expired Perfect Painting course.

Hope this is clearer explanation. Thanks for the help, Nolan!

ah okay. Have you created your Lets Draw folder and downloaded the zip file into it?

I can't find the zip file - probably because

I can't install the menu for "Lets Draw" .

It won't come up in the "Online Course Menu" page.

With the course on Paint Basket TV - if you click the watch button next to the "How to save your Course" heading. A video will open up showing you how to set up the menu. Underneath that video is a Resources box.
There you will find the zip file containing the menu. Right click the link and save it to your Lets Draw folder on your computer.

Let me know when you have done that

cool, now unzip the files to the Lets Draw folder, if you don't have an unzip program, grab THIS one

Once unzipped open the Lets_Draw_Menu.html file.
The basic layout will open, but no videos or buttons will work. That is correct, we will start adding them in the next step.

Let me know if the menu opens

Okay, I downloaded the unzip program.
What do I do with it now? Do I move it into the zipped file folder?

Sorry to waste you time,  I'm not very good with all this zipping and unzipping stuff. . . .  it's the first time I've ever done this, and I don't want to mess up my computer or catch a virus. :(   I'm such a duffus.

Hi Roxy
If you right click on your menu file then select unzip and it should do the rest. The only trouble I had was finding where it placed the unzipped file.
The other thing I did wrong was that I did not save all files in the same folder. So make sure you save all files in the same folder as the main menu.

Hi Dorothy. . . . thanks for the help, but I must have done something wrong from the beginning 'cause when I right click on the "Lets Draw Menu" I get a drop down with "open, cut, copy, delete, or properties" nowhere is there anything about unzipping.  :pullhair:  The 7-Zip file is in the same folder as all the Let's Draw stuff in my  Downloads file.

Maybe I need to create another new separate file and move them over . . . . sigh. . . . I just don't know!

Anyway, doesn't really matter, 'cause I've got the lessons on line and am following them there.  I'm  off to do my "erasing a landscape" homework! :run: Gotta try to keep up to that Nolan guy. . . . . . :heeha:

Here it is. . . . my first homework drawing from the "Let's Draw Pencil Course". . . . :yippee:

Erasing a Landscape. . . . .who knew!!

Now that it's on the screen, I see a lot of thing wrong with it. . . .sigh. . .  MY trees look like really really tall grasses and not trees! LOL! I think my sun path in the water is a bit wonky and I see where some little fur-kid has tracked her fuzzy feet on to my paper. . . . darn cat!
I'm not too unhappy with the result, and I am excited to see what today's lesson will bring! Note to self. . . .keep the fur-kids off the drawing table. . . . . Ya, right :2funny:

But your mountains are fantabulous! :smitten: Oh, if those are grasses, they must be sunlit molehills then? EVERY time I post something, I see things that I never noticed :tickedoff: . Join the club.  I suppose that's why you look at it in a mirror, eh? This looks good. You have made the big start and climbed the first mountain...er...molehill.

I see lots of positives in this your first drawing, Roxy.  I think you got the whole point of the lesson.

I think you're off to a very good start.   :yippee:
