Very touching and uplifting.   :thankyou:   Dennis.

Thanks so much, Dennis, for this wonderful reminder that it's what's on the inside, not the outside, that makes all of us beautiful!

Dennis, this is a very good story indeed.  I wish more people could be like this with their children, not just concerning physical impairments and disabilities, but also with their self esteem in general.  I see so many parents belittle their children;  then they feel the need to purchase something for them rather than to spend time with them. As long as they are "so good" to them, the parents  can conveniently push the children aside in order to spend more time doing things with their friends.  It would be nice if they would tell their children more often how beautiful they are especially on the inside.
I was telling my husband just yesterday that the nicest thing about PB is that the people on here are from all different walks of life, all different beliefs, some rich, some poor, some old, some young, but still we can have respect for one another and creat great friendships. Too bad the world can't do the same.

:thankyou:  Dennis, What an uplifting story and the message is spot on.  As I have mentioned in another post, we all have crosses to bare and unless you have walked in another man's shoes, you will never know what they are going through.  So to be kind, considerate and compassionate for and to others is so easy.  Besides, it may just help them to carry whatever cross they have to bare in life's journey.   Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. Thank you, Dennis.  It's wonderful, 'specially when we get older, to remind ourselves and those around us....just how 'beautiful we all are'.

I had a feeling it was going to be her from the middle part of it.
Boy, that brought a tear to my eye.   You can tell this lady is such a gentle hearted natured person. I think alot of us are locked up inside with emotional troubles and we come across as being angry people. Most the "them" like myself are very quiet. Their's a reason for that. Then you got the people who just don't care and come across and arrogant regardless with others. In other words loud.    Being a child and having others ridicule you is such a bad bad situation. Then the ones that did it go on in life like nothing happened. I suppose alot of artists do just that...find a way to channel that pain into something that flourishes. Easy to say, hard to do.
The moment you find yourself mostly satisfied with a painting and think you'll "just quickly" do this or that, that's the moment to stop completely. Take the painting off your easel and put it aside for at least 24 hours, then reassess whether it really needs that tweak.

Pat, it would seem like people who ride roughshod over everyone get off scott free and carry on living life to the full but life has a way of paying them back, not always in the ways we would imagine but certainly in some way because in the grand scheme of things, we are all one and what you do to others, you are actually doing to yourself.  Well, that is my philosophy.  Patricia
