I took this photo and thought that I would add a pair of boots to look as though someone was just there.   I am going to try and paint this scene.

I am going to post 2 photo's...one with and one without the boots.

Your comments will be appreciated and comments on improving the photo for painting as well.

 ooo this is another nutcracker! This is the situation I have a tendency to fall into. What to do?

This is a lovely scene, and quite honestly, I think either one would be good. I am tending to lean more towards the one without the boots. No particular reason, just more solitary I think. Undisturbed.
Cheers, Val

Oh dear. I read that as boats and spent ages looking for them.

Without boats or boots, I would say

Might cause you to wonder where someone went in the wild without their boots. Hopefully not over the edge!! :2funny: :injured:

It is a beautiful photo.  When I first saw the boots, I too, thought "Oh my, the person must have fallen over the edge."   :2funny:   I think either way is fine, but I too would vote for no boots.  Anxious to see the finished product!

I like the boots, it adds life. My only concern is that they are close to the edge, maybe extend the scene out to the right to get the boots on the third?

Beautiful picture! I actually like the boots - to me it adds a little story (but not the "over the cliff" story!!!) :2funny:
I know either way will be beautiful though...can't wait to see it!

I can't wait to see what you do here Val. Boots or not? It's intriguing. You could even do a animation version with a speech bubble!

ValW, what a gorgeous photo!!!  I hope you enjoyed that wonderful few minutes/hours in time.

I like the idea of the boots.  It tells a bit of a story.  Birds in that beautiful sky would be disruptive.  The boots add a mystique to the mood.   Did he or didn't he fall off the cliff???       :2funny:

No, seriously, I like the boots idea.

I'm looking forward to seeing your painting.
