Hi Pete!  I like your boats-they have a nice pastel look to them.  :)

I think your castle needs more darks?

Try adjusting the values in the first painting. The values are too close and make your painting look flat. By adjusting the values you will gain depth in your painting. That said, I do like the colouring very much, the boats are nice and bright. Well done Pete.

Pete, you're on your way to getting a good grasp on watercolor painting.

You're doing very well.  Keep up the good work and keep  :painting: :painting: :painting:

Thankyou Natalie, Val, and Lillian.

I knew i had made mistakes with "boats" the rope on far boat to thick, beyond that the bush/tree was all wrong, originally a tree so I tried to make it a bush lol, and I couldnt quite make the near boat look like it was on a hill, so the perspective is wrong some what. But it did gety me out of the duldrums as all week I had struggled,

I do need to keep practicsing my mixing of greens especially, I do seem to just get three basic greens, light, med and a dark one. So I will keep on doing that. These artists I watch on tv or youtube do make it look so easy dont you think.

Also you are bang on about the castle, I tried fiddling it, but I felt I wzas going to lose it altogether, and it would look like just a big clump of rocks. So I stopped messing and left it, I tried with the darks in the trees, down the path and to the left of the path to take you down those routes in your mind, but again I think I fiddled to much  ;D

Ok, no worries tho, I do like my boats, they are vibrant and I like the far distance and the big rock section of the castle picture.

So again Thankyou for your comments and heres to more happy  :painting:
