All you need to do is watch Nolan paint one of his brilliant oil paintings, or watch Dennis work his wizardry with watercolour. If either of these doesn't move you to wet your brushes... Try the Let's Draw course!   >:D    ;D

I was going to start a new topic, but this title fits the subject so well.

I had a comment recently, that said that I inspire. I would repeat my response, but I don't want to frighten you all with what goes on in my head!

I had to stop and ask myself, what inspires me the most? The answer came straight back to me like lightning (much faster than my usual thought process  >:D ), YOU. All of YOU. The ones who create such amazing painting and drawings with such seeming ease. YOU supply me with the drive to reach greater levels of attainment. I thank you.
However; the ones that inspire me the most? The new ones. YOU who are starting where I was a few long-short ( ;D ) years ago. YOU who cringe, and worry, and doubt  :-\ , just as I did and still do. YOU who keep  :fight: , laugh through your tears of frustration, and bravely put your soul out to be seen by all of us. YOU are the ones that inspire me most. I have watched and seen YOU try and try again, and you  will, and have succeeded. What do I see when I look at YOU and your works... I see YOU, and I grab onto your coattails, and one day...one day, I will attain where you have gone.  O0    Thank YOU.

I have to go now...  :'(

Wow, Val.  You have expressed so eloquently what so many of us feel.  It's amazing how this website has created a family.

Keep rallying us with your thoughts, dear lady.

Ahhh, Val!  Now you got me  :'( Pass the tissue please!

Val, you are a dear heart and a great asset to Paintbasket.

You are an inspiration in every way.

I agree with you.  Everyone here is an inspiration, no matter what level they are at.

It's so great to see the beginners start out and as they do, those of us who have progressed a little farther, feel their passion, their struggles, the fear of putting their work out there to be seen by others who have gone before them.  We want to be there to give encouragement because we know what it's like to be at the starting point.

:thankyou: Newbies for being such a huge inspiration!      :flowers: :flowers: :flowers:

It takes that same kind of passion and drive for those who have been on the journey a little longer to get where we want to be with our ability to paint and draw.

We're all in this together!  I'm so thankful for Paintbasket's great tutors, and a forum full of encouraging and helpful friends.

Val, please pass the tissue!   :'(    :1hug:

I have to say that the "Newbies" are being inspired by YOU.
The calm advice, encouragement, and rising to the monthly challenges that you serve us.
Seeing where we can get by using the skills that PB gives us as reflected in your own work.
Plus the jokes and funny comments to keep our spirits up.
So thanks right back at you!!
