It's hard to believe people would steal cables - is it just for copper or metal? They would have to be desperate. I am glad you are up and running Val!

Nice Valweb - Fibre Optic is the only way to go. Can't wait for ours to come in. It will make "slow" old cable tv network seem like it made the 64k dial-up modems seem!

Finally finished my cows.  It was a good exercise in adding things into a scene and I think it will be helpful in future paintings to personalize. May still put a few birds in, but done for now

Great job Karen...and your cows look like cows! I have a hard time getting drawn animals to look as they should, painting them will be a whole new challenge.
I love the vibrant colours.  Well done.
Cheers, Val

I missed the 2nd page!  The pasture and cows look excellent Gail. Is that an ear tag I see in the foremost cow? You don't miss a thing.

  Lovely painting Gail.   Did you use oils?

Didn't make Tuesday evenings class Sea shells.  They stole the cable again - three times now.  Hopefully not again.
Can be quite frustrating not having phones or internet.

Valweb sorry to hear of your problem. They want that copper. The same thing happens here also. But here it is copper pipes out of homes. Come home and your plumbing is gone.  :2funny: :2funny:

Val,yes i put the eartag/earring on the front cow.  the painting was done completely with oils.  I found the exercise was very helpful in establishing other elements in a scene and how to alter them to fit naturally in the painting.  I think it wil be helpful in fUture paintings in adding /personalizing them. ThAnks for the comments.

Ohhhhh, ValW.  It must be so frustrating for you to have your phone and internet interrupted so many times.  I sure hope they get those new cables in for you real soon!

Nina, I can't imagine coming home to no plumbing!   :tickedoff:

I think the search for copper by thieves is prevalent all over the world.

To get back on topic now --

Gail I love your painting.          You always do such nice work.
