This month the challenge is to take a photo of the best sunset you can find in the first two weeks, post it here, everybody can then choose their favourite favourite and paint it in the next two weeks.

It will be great to see the different styles and interpretations.

You can paint in any medium and style you like.

We will then vote for a winner and the winner will get a free tutorial DVD!!!  :yippee:

We don't experience the most dramatic sunsets, but have had a couple of "colorful" ones.. will download (the couple I took) from the camera and upload over the weekend... (IF they are suitable at all)

Well, I'll start.  Here are a few I managed to find on my PC I took during the past year.  I'll submit four more in a moment.

Beautifully captured sunsets in all, but I like picture 13 best because it has interesting feathered foliage in the foreground. O0  Try experimenting with other silhouetted objects.   Good work kaaskrul

:( Nolan and I must be getting the same weather! Ever since the announcement the wind has been blowing stink, and the cloud cover has been very heavy. Very squally again.  :'(  I do have some brilliant sunsets taken previously, if it is permissible I'll upload them...BUT...the month isn't over yet! ;D

Yeah, again, just as sunset approaches tonight after an awesome day, the clouds come rolling in. I'm gonna wait a day or two to see if I can capture a good one.

Great sunsets Kelley and Kaaskrul  I can see it's gonna be a challenge just choosing which one to paint  :crazy2:

:goofy: Another rain squall!  :D We've had so many rainbows lately I stopped taking pictures of them!  :(  Might be another challenge for the future. Time for a cup of tea  :coffee:  O0
