In spite of a being done at 5 am, I think you've done a fabulous job.  I can tell by your drawing it was meant to be metal.  I see how much you've grown and am proud of you!

Hi Val. I like your mug very much. Even more because the drawing is made by your own mug.
I think you could get more darks in there... on the opposite sides of it.

Let's wait and see what Nolan sais about it.

PS: excuse my english.

XOXO

Kelley...you could really tell the bottom is metal? I've never tried metal before, another first!   :yippee:
Nolan did suggest if we were adventuress enough...you know I just can't resist a good adventure!   :heeha:
Thank you so much for your continued support and encouragement .... and sticking by me through this rather 'drawn' out journey!   :2funny:
Cheers, Val

You know, as soon as I took the photo I thought the same thing. More darks on the sides...they are actually a little darker on the drawing but I think could use some more. I'm going to try to correct the perspective a bit and add the table shadow, that should help alot.

Thanks so much for your comments, I look forward to seeing your next drawing.   O0   :yippee:

Nice!  Your drawing is great-it does look like metal and ceramic.

:thankyou:  Thanks C.  I was hoping to finish putting the cast shadow on the bear, but having trouble seeing the lines today. Made a muck of it, so took them out. Might post him later without the shadow. Scumbling isn't going well today either so will have to find a new project to vent my artistic "talents" on!   :2funny:

Decided to post him as is. The hatching just isn't working for me today.      Will have a go at completing the cast shadow another day.   :)

Val, I think you've done a splendid job on the teddybear.

I also think that you're way too hard on yourself.  I see the light shining on him so brightly, now all he needs is that cast shadow.  Get on with it Girl!!!

I'm looking forward to nolan's comments for you.

You are taking to the drawing like a duck to water Val  :heeha: :yippee:

I know the cup shape is not 100%, but that is not what the exercise was about, so I am not worried about that. The hatching is excellent, you have the shadings and texture perfect  :cloud9:

What can I say about the teddy - he is perfect  :yippee: All he needs is his shadow on the ground

Well, he finally has a shadow...  AND he has company. Once I got going I couldn't stop. So its two for one day! Finished bear, and finished goldfish.   :yippee:

So pleased with myself, I took the photos and didn't load them on the computer    will be back shortly with the afore mentioned pair.
Leonardo & Michael were lucky they didn't have to deal with our technology!   :D
