:boat: Another really good class Nolan, as usual plenty of information as well. All these classes are like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, the more you get, the more it all makes sense.

Have you posted the pic on the forum yet, I haven't found it?

Another enjoyable class.  Look forward to trying them when the replay is available.  In the early part of the lesson you showed an old stone bridge that looked very familiar, like one I had painted, so I said I would post it.   I did it prior to joining PB, and as you will see my style is quite a bit different.  It is at a park nearby-Beacon Hill Park.  It is an old park that was designed by the guy who designed Central Park in New York City.  Emily Carr (famous Canadian artist) painted there quite a bit in her youth, (no totems) and I have found it a source of inspiration and a great place to stroll or spend a little time.  The other painting I included is a small waterfall in the park that looked similar to the photo that you used for your painting (colour is a little different).  Hope you enjoy-as I feel a little hesitant exposing another layer of myself.

Well I must say what I saw was good. I agree with Lillian. It is so much easier when we see you mix the paint and watch you paint and explain as you go. You are appreciated. Will be looking forward to the replay.

Karen you amaze me with how quickly you paint, how many paintings did you do this last month?

This is beautiful by the way.

I really enjoyed the first half hour, but then my computer was not cooperating. Can't wait for the replay.

Gail I love your painting with the bridge, ver Monetesque, beautiful movement in both the water and trees, wonderful colors.

A good broadcast, as ever.
I don't know how others here would feel, but I think we would learn much more by having the palette as the PiP (picture in picture) for most of the time. The ref photo would be good while you are doing the initial drawing and planning but it would be far more active if when your paintbrush left the canvas we could see it on the palette and see your spot mixing. You could go back to the ref when you want to show particular things like colour matching and then back to the palette for all the actual painting.

The other thing was that last night your voice went rather quiet when you were painting and came back again when you went to the palette. This suggests that the microphone was being somewhat covered up when stretched you right arm out.
This hasn't happened before so it's only a guess.

Keep them coming, Nolan. They are great!

Although I purchased the classes parts 1 & 2, I wasn't able to attend last nights class. Nor will I be able to make it to next Tuesdays part 2 as we're off in the Motor-home.  Sorry.
Part 1 sounds like another great class. I'll catch up on the replay.

Hey Claude!  Great to see you pop in here!

What a sob story!  I'm really feeling sorry for you, reaching for my Kleenex!   :'(

Honestly, I really wish you had more time to be here though but I hope the business is going well.

Very valuable feedback, thank you. I noticed that the voice went softer on the replay and it happened after we changed the battery on the mic so I suspect that one of our batteries is on it's way out. I will go get another one O0

I agree on the pip being the palette so will show that more than the picture.

Val & Maria- The new Paint Basket TV page will hide the class after the live class has ended up until we add the replay video and pdf to the system as there is technically nothing to purchase during that time. As soon as the replay is available then it will appear under the Previous Classes list

PS - Gail, lovely bridge painting, great movement in your water and I love the colours.

Karen you will definitely need to hold an exhibition soon  ;D

Claude here we are spending all our money on paints while you are earning a fortune, so when you get back you will need to buy us all a new set of paints  :heeha:
