Do my eyes deceive me? This looks to be a lovely pencil line and wash. Showcases the flower beautifully! Very well done Annie. Compliments to you  O0

:thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: Mea, Emmalee, Patricia, Susan, and Val!

You just add the cherry on the cake, even if I am not sure what Val's question is

I am enjoying myself for a little mid-winter R&R in a beautiful cabin facing the pacific ocean.  It doesn't get any better in the winter in Canada.  Above freezing point, no snow, no noise but birds chirping, pitch dark at night, and nobody in sight.

Your comments encourage me to go ahead with the next lesson: Arum Calla.

Thank you so much for the encouragement.
Cheers, Annie

Annie, I believe this is the first peony with the line and wash effect. Love it.
Cheers, Val

Thank you Dennis.

Val, it is not ink. I followed the lesson but I see that the graphite transfer is much more visible and shart compared to others' ponies.  I assume from your comment that it is okay.
Cheers, Annie

Annie, line and wash does not have to be ink. I've done a few with graphite pencil.

Whether by intent or happy accident, I think it looks great!  :heeha:

Thank you Danielle.

Thank you Val.  I actually always liked watercolour that have some light pencil drawing visible.   Specially in landscape, it looks detailed yet adds a loose fluidity to the painting.   Looks alive to me.
