Are you supposed to fade out every pencil drawing around the perimeter of the entrie image? Or do some artist fill the entire paper up?
The moment you find yourself mostly satisfied with a painting and think you'll "just quickly" do this or that, that's the moment to stop completely. Take the painting off your easel and put it aside for at least 24 hours, then reassess whether it really needs that tweak.

Pat,
That is entirely up to you. You have artist license to do what you want. Pat I was looking at your paintings. They are beautiful I like the one with you in the surf, and the Luna.
I think you are very good. Question what drawing are you doing?

Thanks Nina. I am doing one of the photos I just picked out quickly. I had been saving some great photographs I wanted to draw. It's of an asian girl holding an umbrella. Very complex..i'm taking my time on this one.

that is a matter of personal choice. Do whichever you feel works best with that particular drawing
