Claude... this may sound odd, but you are absolutely right. The manual is probably all you need, the audio would just go in your one ear and out the other.  Sheesh....boys!  ::)

I thought you were talking about the downloadable course consisting of 28 videos and PDF's :smart:

Sorry, my error.

You are correct about the video's, I'm thinking that's the way I'll go. Thanks.

The audio is in reference to Claude needing just the manual. Audio would go in his one ear and out the other!

Lillian, the manuals ARE on dvd 5. Pop it into your computer, then when windows asks you if you want to play the video or view the files, etc., select view files and you will then see there is a "manuals" folder with all the pdfs, bonuses and tools

Val, I bought the online Lets Draw course and have found this most beneficial, once you have downloaded you can go back over an over when offline, moreover watching Nolan demonstrate lessons makes it much easier than just having the manual version. I work better with visual aid, each to their own, having the videos to relate to, like the replays, is the way to go for sure, especially with your internet problems like myself!  Happy travels, I envy you. :gl:

Thanks for that Olivia. I understand the 'visual' bit, I'm more of a visual learner myself.  That's why I kept hanging around haunting this site until Dennis started the watercolour courses!  :2funny:  I figure I'd better have a new computer handy as when I find good internet I'm going to burn up this one downloading!

Olivia, I hope you had fun painting with the group yesterday.  I always love getting together with folks to paint.

I was at the college yesterday.  Everybody was doing something different.  We are all so individual, aren't we?  :)

We can learn from each other too.  Not that I'll run out and get one, but I saw a lady blending her oil colors with a man's saving brush and it was doing a fine job of it.   I'm wondering what her husband will say when he finds out.  She had better clean it before he uses it or he may end up with a clown face.   :2funny:

Nolan, I've tried opening Disk 5 from my "Computer" and by just popping it in and letting it come up.  It still comes up with just the titles I mentioned but not the manual.  The playlist has 7 chapters, all those I mentioned, but no folder with the manual.

I'm wondering if I need to update my Media player.  I do get automatic updates and I always let them go ahead.  It does show "Unknown DVD"  Does that mean anything?  I'm technically challenged!    ::)  Maybe I have to call in my technician?
I can take the disk over to my daughter's and see if it shows differently on her computer before I do that.

Lillian - you have the manuals now anyway so let's not worry too much, just let me know if you want a refund or a credit.

Hi Val...I have only got the manual, and so far so good....but I just came on the forum, cuz I'm stuck already!!  LOL  I really would like to get the DVD's, too.  Course, I'm older than dirt, so maybe I need a little more explaining, but I have managed to enjoy myself so far. I'm trying to do it with the watercolors, too, so I'm only up to #8 on the drawing.  I do like the idea of the manual as I want to get it done up in a book....then I can drag it along with me!  LOL
It's so much easier when you can "see" what someone is trying to tell you. You know what I mean.  Go for the manual, if you can afford it, then, when your pennies grow a little, send for the DVD'. Don't miss out totally....it really is a big help, too, with my painting. I've learned so much from Dennis n Nolan, and this manual has sure helped in my painting.
There...my 2cents worth!!  Good luck, Val, and good luck on the internet connection.

Hi Bella, I know exactly what you mean. I tend to pick things up quicker if I can see someone actually do it. I used to be able to do just about anything with a good explanation, now it's better with the visual. Too many knocks on the head I guess!  :crazy2:
