I tried another still life from Mary Gibilisco's site. Very involved. I didn't crop the picture very well it's a 16x20 oval piece of Masonite. I'd love some comments and critiques.

It is well painted.  Nice pink/gray palette.  But, seems too busy for a still life. My eyes are jumping all around it.  Hard to find a focal point.

I think you did a really nice job. The colors are so soft and pretty. The flowers and pear look really good.  There seems to be something that might need tweaking on the right of the vase. I can’t put my finger on what it is. Maybe the plate under the vase is too long on that side? It’s a lovely painting though.

I was commenting on the red, lower portion of the vase. I might be wrong though. It’s a really nice painting.

Well done    Check the lower section of the vase again. I compared to the original and you have it too narrow and too many "bumps". Check also the shape  O0

Question;  Would this come under the heading of a person's style?

I know some would, as you come further away from a chosen focal point, have less and less detail and clarity.
