Unfortunately Lloyd doesn't take well to the reptile family.... especially snakes. There's a short story on page 60 about the snake (PJ's Adventures).

I couldn't persuade him to let me keep it... even when I said we'd never have another rat problem!    ;D

I've got a bit of a Navy type log where I wrote some stuff down.  I've added a bit here and there since then.  With my injuries things are 'hit and miss'.  Sometimes, like here, memories are 'triggered'.  Pretty boring stuff.

That does remind me to annotate the backs of more old photos.  I have done it on a lot, but I've more to do.

PJ's Adventures
http://www.paintbasket.com/members/index.php?topic=1302.0

I know some people embellish their stories.  That's not what concerns/scares the heck out of me.  None of mine are embellished.

Some items are odd, some funny, some strange, some stubborn, some flat terrifying.  Some I would like to forget, but they're 'seared' or 'burned' into my brain. An item I learned last night explains some happenings and things I've observed that I didn't understand the 'why' or 'how'.

The stuff so far has just been Navy memories triggered by things people have said.  So, they kind of 'tie in'.  That's not to mean I've not remembered other things.

I've only posted the USN things and nothing from the USAF.  There's things are more along the lines of odd or amusing.

Here's one from that USAF arena.  I was selected for a month long in residence Leadership School. At the end we had a cook out.  One guy's job was as a cook and he volunteered to cook it (possibly to make sure the food didn't get messed up by amateurs).  :D

He told me the only things military cooks can season food with are; Salt, Pepper, Mustard, and Ketchup (Catsup).  Less chance for problems for people with food allergies.

I've mentioned I'd do my best to answer any questions and also indicated I can't pretend to be able to answer everyone.  I'm also aware of it can be such an 'alien world' that a person has no idea what question(s) to ask!

I'm aware of it, as I was in that position when starting to pick up a brush.  I still have no answer to that question.  :)

Beautiful waves Liz. Since no one has mentioned it, it might just be me.... the wave in the distance looks to be nearly right angle from the direction of the closest waves. (The painting with the ship.)

Good idea to paint sunsets Liz. Those stormy seas are so realistic I'm getting sea sick!!
