:thankyou: Thank you Everyone for your comments and encouraging me in my art work.  I used an old canvas to practice painting a stormy sky and I think I have a general idea how to shape the cloud forms and blend the paints.  Doing water and a ship leaning into the waves and stormy weather is going to take more time.  I only did an illusion of a ship and ‘cheated’, finishing this up digitally, so if you see anything that is drastically not right LMK then I will finish the painting.  :) ~Liz

Beautiful so far Liz, seeing that I am sitting under stormy skies at the moment.... I think if you can work in some more darks into the sky and clouds it would add some amazing drama to the scene.   :boat:         :boat:

How do you paint your lovely work? ~Liz

 I suspect somewhat haphazardly!

I know I really should plan things out more, just seems the more I lay out a plan the further I get from it as it progresses.  :crazy2:

Sounds like 'disorganized organization'.  :)

A clean desktop?  Now, how will I ever find anything?  :D

Starting another stormy sky, doing the blocking in.  Hope to try another stormy sea painting with choppy water. ~Liz

Wow, love that cloud formation, Liz.  Dark and brooding!

I had a lot of challenges with this one.  The in-house critic wanted to see a larger ark while I thought smaller ark in great ocean would be impressive.  It seemed that two people were painting this one!  Need more practice with lightning bolts! ~Liz

Liz,

I like the ark.  Love the stormy/not stormy split sky.

fabulous painting, I love it. :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
I think the boat is the right size as it's small size adds to the danger and drama of the scene O0
