acrylic with pen . going for a kinda Asian style . Was debating about a color background but my initial thought was just white. Maybe next time a very light green ...?

Lovely Bert. Very nicely detailed and I really like how the pattern on the vase looks raised.  O0

Lovely, Bert.  Yes, it has an Asian feel to it.

    Wonderful painting Bert. I just love viewing your work and yes, the pattern on the vase looks like 3D. How did you accomplish that?

thanks everyone . I always use heavy body acrylic paint and on the pattern  loaded it pretty thick .then added some light grey/blue  for shading  O0

:thankyou:  for your explanation Bert, you really achieved a 3D look on the vase.  Wonderful work.  Hope you enjoyed your trip back home. I believe it is stinking hot there at the moment.

Fantastic job, Bert. I suggest that, to complete the Asian style, you need to add your signature in the bottom corner, but write it vertically so that it flows up the page, Chinese script-like.

Bert - this is excellent! And i would just keep it with a white background - it really makes the vase and flowers pop this way!
