Still lots more work to do: trees on right side, covered bridge, details, etc.  Hope to finish up with glazing to bring out some color.
Hope to finish before the New Year!!! ~Liz

Looking good, Liz.   Love the siding on the bridge - nice wood grain.  Windows show depth behind them.

Considered finished!  Done before the new year!  I think I should have left it in the WIP version!  I overworked the trees on the right side!  :heeha: ~Liz

Thanks Everyone for your encouragement and Val’s good advice, too. I just toned down the ‘highlights’, and will go and practice painting more evergreens!

:knuppel2: Li-iz... Keep your negative thoughts to yourself and let us decide. I know, it's hard not to express what we think upfront. I'm guilty of that as well, but it does influence how others see it and you end up denying yourself of an honest critique/opinion.

So... OUR New Year's Resolution (at least in part  ;) ), is to not give our own opinion on our works until after everyone else has a shot. Deal?.......

DEAL!!!   :deal:

Well... You do make sense, Val.    :)

How about this... I think I accomplished conveying the cool temperature of that Nov. morning on Mt. Spokane in Washington and depth perspective.
O.K. I won't say anymore and try to remember what you said in the future.  ;)  -Liz

You've done well finding time to finish this over Christmas. If you don't like the extra snow on the trees, can't you paint over it (she asked timidly, not being a oil painter)....Either way looks fine :smitten:... It's just a matter of which view you prefer, I think. I suggest you give yourself a couple of days to get used to the slightly different look, and then decide. Has been wonderful following your progress through this painting.  :)
