After doing Denis' first exercises I am trying to do some pen and ink drawings. The ones on the left of the pages I drew over from a book. On the right I try to repeat the drawings, first with a grafite pencil and then with a inkpen.

Dirk,

Looks like great practice.  Love the rabbits and ducks best.

Thanks Mea. It is nice to try out a new medium, but I already found out it is not an easy one.

Excellent practice Dirk.  O0   I found various forms of hatching worked best for me. I shall have to see if it is still there but there should be an old truck I did by cross hatching with dip pen & ink in my gallery.

I must find some more india ink, I had brought back a few bottles with me ....(yikes) 3 yrs. back. Two have completely evaporated, one has a tar like substance in the bottom. I'm going to try adding a bit of purified water and see if it will reconstitute. I really enjoyed drawing with my dip pen.

Thanks Patricia and Val. So far I only used fineliners. But I will try the real ink soon.

:heeha: Excellent sketches Dirk.  O0   I have a lot more work to do on wildlife. So much of it around here, I'm just too slow to even get a basic shape down!  :D
