This is my first trial with all those beautiful colours. Not very happy with this, but still posting this. Happy to hear your comments to make it better.

Lots of beauty in that sky, Gita.  I'd say you did really well.

My experience with sky is that if you have blues and yellows in it, each color needs to be really dry before you add more.

You did great Gita, it's all about the drama. You have definitely captured that! Well done.
Cheers, Val

Thanks Mea for the suggestion. For this photo I used all the blues I had in my palette( around 6). It's actually a difficult piece to paint.
Thanks Val! I appreciate your comment And you've chosen a great photo!  Want to give this another trial. It's fun to use so many colours!

I agree with Sharon, well done. This is why I painted mine in acrylics as it is such a dramatic sky.

This is more a drama than a painting...🙄. Again sharing this with you PBs- I don't know what's attracting me to paint this more than once... correlates with my current mood maybe. Hope I am not boring you with my repetitions.

Yes Mea, a bit of addiction, a bit of challenge and lots of splashing colours. This time I tried liquid drawing ink which I had bought long back in India ( Brand called camel). It's definitely a different painting experience since the liquid flows fast and gets absorbed fast into the paper. So merging colours is evenmore unpredictable than W/C. :painting: :D

Hmmm...Gita.  You are so adventurous.  Ink sounds too scary for me.  But, who knows.

I am surprised Mea, I thought you are more adventurous than most of us in trying out new things! But thanks, I take it as a compliment.  :)

Try the liquid colours - You might like it...

BTW, Schminke has produced liquid acrylic colours ( aero colours) which have a high pigment content. The colour can be filled in filth pens to draw lines with ease or for painting. I did my "Rainforest" partly with these. The thin white lines of the birds was done with the filth pen.

Thanks, Gita.  I watched the video. Sure looks enticing.

I'll probably look into it after the start of the new year.
