I thought cutting down a painting and turning it into a card might qualify as framing?
Th still life painting is from a lesson with Dennis. Although it doesn't really show, this frame is rather a nice second hand one with a linen mat. The painting glows in it, although that's hard to see because of the reflections in the glass. I hate glass. I'll try and avoid using it in future.

Good on you, Linley.  All three are really nice.

The cards are really special.

Yes, it is a beautiful frame.  Don't you love a thrift shop bargain!

Sure do.....I want to have a go at doing my own linen mats. They look very classy.

You can replace the glass with a non reflective glass. You need to protect your w/c.

I'm thinking of either varnishing or waxing my watercolours. I've seen several youtubes on how to do that. Seems to be the latest fashion to either paint watercolour on canvas (after preparing the canvas with watercolour ground) or mounting the watercolour paper on a wood panel and either varnishing or waxing. This means a frame is optional too, and greatly reduces the cost of preparing watercolours for sale. Also gives them a more "modern" look.
