Post your painting for November 2017 Challenge here.

1/ Post only one painting per person. Post only your finished paintings. If you need help, post it in the encourager section.

2/ Do your best to keep your entry as close as possible to the original Challenge photo. Please DO NOT make additions to the subject unless otherwise stated. We try to maintain a fair and equal field for all entries from beginner to advanced.
Feel free to use the subject photos in your own creation BUT place it in the Encourager section, NOT in the challenge. Thank you for your ongoing support of these challenges.

3/ Any single paint medium may be used including; watercolour, acrylic, oil, watercolour pencil, brusho, inktense or pastel. If it is not specifically listed, DON'T USE IT! If you are unsure, PM me directly.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time do not combine w/c with w/c pencil, or gouache.
There will be changes forthcoming allowing the more advanced painter to combine these mediums under w/c. Thanks for your patience.

4/ When posting your entry, please list type of paint (w/c, oil, acrylic, w/c pencil, inktense) used. Appreciated as it may help someone with less experience.

5/HAVE FUN!!    :gl2:

Cheers, Val

:heeha: Nicely done Neil.    I was curious to see how our fellowship would handle the sky and reflections. I've got this one tucked away in my 'to do' folder.  ;)

Thank you Neil, I thought that it had to be oils because it has such a lovely soft sheen to it.   Patricia

Here is my acrylic painting of the beautiful sunset for the Nov challenge. This photo is not very clear but it's the best i can do. The painting looks alot better. It was a challenge doing the clouds and try to match the colours with my limited supply of colours.

:) Your 'distraction' has turned out well, Neil. Good going.

:) Teresa - your clouds draw one's  attention, as in the photo - well done!

Hi Pbers,

Hope you are all well.

I approached this very wet in wet with lots of rubbing out and then glazes and lots of oh word this is getting crazy but I managed to complete something that I am happy with (at one point it was game over but never say die!!). My cloud formations are well off of the reference picture as it proved to be difficult to replicate it with my approach. I do like the drama that I achieved and will enter this as my impression of the reference picture. Neil and Teresa, as always lovely paintings by you both... :gl2:

Looking forward to some bumper entries to this challenge because sunsets are great fun...come on peeps!!  :painting: :painting: :painting:

Keep well

Trev
