There have been some awesome kiwi paintings posted on PB lately, so I thought I would try one for my next show (next Thursday). It’s a small piece (Kathy - you’ll appreciate that!) - 5x7. If it doesn’t sell next week I can use it for a show I’m in in December - all small paintings. What do you think?
Cheers,
Sharon

Looks good to me, Sharon.  Maybe just a bit of purplish-green in between the rows, darkening most as you approach the center.

Sharon,

Yes, I think it has more contrast now.

Good enough to eat.

Just a note. Is the center part supposed to be green? Maybe it's just the few we get here, but they are all usually a white to creamy colour in the very middle.

So I looked up photos of kiwis and you’re right Val, they’re lighter in color in the middle. The best I could do was scrub out as much of the staining green as I could. At some point I’ll probably try painting another kiwi. But it does look better for now.

And thanks Win!!!
Cheers,
Sharon

Oh, yes, Sharon. That looks better with the lighter center.  Haven't eaten a kiwi in years so I was no help.
