Not sure if this will be considered a 3-D piece for an up-coming Miniature Show, but it is something I have wanted to do for a long time -- a TRUNK SHOW! Six tiny oil paintings in a small trunk.

Top row: mango, palm, kamani
Bottom row: koa, banyan, and hala

Thanks, Trev, Patricia, and Mysti. I hope the art guild folks feel the same as you do and let's it in the show as one piece.  Otherwise, I would have to pay $5 each for 6 pieces.

I love to try to do things differently.

Definitely original... both your approach to the subject, and your choice of "trunk" to display them in.  Your next subject should be elephants,  :2funny:

Interesting take on things.  It is in three dimensions, so it should qualify.

Thanks, Linley.  Darn, I wish I had seen your "elephants" comment before I went to the exhibit.  I would have added an elephant trunk.

Thanks, Stoney and Kathy,Sharon, Win  The 3-D trunk show was a lively topic of conversation at the take-in for the exhibit yesterday.

I am so excited.  My TRUNK SHOW won 2nd place in the Association of Hawaii Artist Miniature Show.  There were more than 40 artists and nearly 185 entries.

The reception and awards presentation is tomorrow night.  Will post a photo of me with the award.

I am so excited - oh, I already said that.
