:thankyou: very much, Val! The best compliment I can get in urban sketching, I suppose. You recognised the place from the drawing! Linley is right!
I am fond of harbour scenes. They create a feeling of wistfulness in me.

When I think of all the harbours I have visited it awakens the wanderlust in me. Seeing your painting brought back so many memories of the place, the people, the sights, smells, and tastes. The bittersweet sorrow of departing, but oh.... the joyous expectation of the next adventure, the next harbour. What vistas await? I must keep on... perhaps there is someone looking out to sea, someone waiting, just to meet me.   :boat:
Cheers, Val

:flowers: :flowers: :flowers: GITA, you've done very well with pen and ink with water color washes!  You seem to have the patience for the fine detail.  I'm learning about how to do water reflections and the Craftsy instructor is pretty good. ~Liz

Val, I envy you for your voyages and great experiences! It’s great to share them with you, especially your pictures.
Liz, I love pen and ink. I have such a flow experience while drawing with the fine nib of the pen. I searched to buy the carbon platinum pen from Japan which Shari, the instructor, uses. But at present they are not selling this in Germany. Instead I am using a Lamy art pen (fine nib). It’s also good.
