Kathy,

Very delicate.  Makes me feel sorry for the plant knowing that some people consider it a weed.

You've made it stand proud!  Good for you!

These grow like crazy in Louisiana but I still love them and this is a great rendition, just perfect.

As I remember it, Mea, this variety is quite prickly. It was popular back in the fifties because it is tough and easy to grow... a bit too easy. It took over large tracts of grazing land, and the pastoralists didn't like that! I'm not sure but I think it might also be poisonous for some farm animals. But it is still a lovely dainty flower, and I miss it. Thanks for the reminder, Kathy.

:thankyou: Linley:  In Delaware people have them in flower pots.  I thought they were beautiful.

Kathy, I can't imagine that huge sprawling lantana bush as a flower pot! Mum's bush stood 6 ft high and had a diameter of 10 ft.You must have a tamed and miniaturized variety..... or do they really grow that much bigger in Australia?   Some plants do... like pinus radiata, which I am told is a scrappy stunted tree in it's native California, but over here is a main stay in our timber industry because it grows fast, straight and tall.

Linley:  It is about 15" tall and bushy.
