This is an acrylic painting taken from a photo of my daughter jumping for joy during a typical Cape Town sunset.  The sand should have been a slightly more greyer tone but thought best to leave it as is.

The painting is a little more vivid than the photograph... I need to master my camera  ;)

Lovely scene to paint Win! Just one small suggestion: there is a halo around the silhouette. Was it meant to be that way? Also some shadow on the sand would make the figure look more lively. What do you think? Does the photo have a shadow? I like the painting otherwise!

Thanks for your comments Gita much appreciated, the "halo" is because she is directly in front of the sun just before it disappeared behind the horizon and because its dusk shes not creating a shadow, the sand should be a darker more grey tone for that time of the day  :)

Gita looking at it again I see I need to maybe soften the halo a little,  its too defined  :)  thanks for bringing my attention to it .
