Joey is just beautiful, Gita. I'll put up a couple of my recent photos of wallabies in the reference photos in case you feel the need to do some more kangaroos. Love your new avatar (am I using the right word?)

Linley. Thank you so much! Also for your thought of posting reference photos for further drawing! One reason you can't upload them could be the size of the photo. You could mail them to me  instead (art@vasa.online). You are so lucky to live in the land of wallabies. In the Berliner zoo,  you can cuddle some animals but there is no wallaby. 🙁.
Yes, Avatar is the right word....
As a complete contrast drawing for the october challenge is making me feel creepy...  :2funny:

Val, I started sketching a sort of "monster man" and since this is my first one with a "creepy" theme, he looks a bit horrifying. I put it away, because I am not sure if the challenge is for creepy postings or macabre postings. 🤔😮. I am sure I've made you curious now....😄
Linley, just check the "monthly challenge" in the forum.

Gita, I had to laugh at your comments about the scary challenge. I am going through the same thing. I have painted the most awful looking scary individual which spooks me.  I do a little on it every night and then put it away. When I switch off my bedroom light, I look around the room and then put the blankets over my head to fall asleep!!!! I actually had to take a drive to the Niagara Falls Visitors Attractions area to find something scary to paint as I had no idea and there I found a plethora of subjects.  Patricia   :2funny: :2funny:

Patricia, thanks for sharing your feelings about drawing "creepy subjects". I am so used to choosing flowers and nature that this challenge is an interesting experience for me.
I have to take this monster man drawing out again and colour him still. I think I am more astonished about myself that I drew some creepy subject ( eventhough it's just a challenge).
I am very curious about your drawing, Patricia. Looking forward.

Oh! Gita, this dude is so repulsive and I am even wondering whether it is in good taste to submit the painting. My youngest daughter won't let me show my grandchild the painting, it is so creepy.  My older grandchildren actually took the pictures of these monsters for me ... they are all teenagers and don't get scared by these images. Oh! Well, I will decide what to do nearer the time.
