This baby kangaroo was so appealing. I drew this with graphite pencils and charcoal for the background. I am learning from Nolan's "let's draw" course at present. That must have been at least a million flicks in this drawing!    :D
Nolan, can I do anything better? Anybody else with a comment is welcome.

Gita,

It's lovely - such a proud face.

The bottom right corner really could use some darker tones as the animal seems to fade out.

Isn't the "Let's Draw" course amazing!   I could never have made the progress I have without it.  I was a complete NON-DRAWER when I started four years ago.

Thanks Mea. Good idea. On a second look, the kangaroo has to be brought out more to the front. I shall try to shade the background a bit more around the kangaroo.O0

Thank you so much Val, it's so wonderful to have your's and Mea's continuous support.  :1hug: I have revised this sweet little guy ( I have to give him a name yet). The first photo seems to have had a filter while taking the photo. This photo shows the real paper colour. Looks duller but looks a lot better in real.

He is standing out a bit better, I still think the values between him and the background are still a bit too close.

You could either lift out some of the graphite in the background to lighten it, or go much darker leaving the Joey light. Or vise versa. Or, don't you hate that, leave as is and he is well camouflaged!         :stress:

Joey it is!  His face and eyes are what really draw me into this one.
