Sharon, thanks for the suggestion, I could not change anything anymore as my husband loved this painting and framed it and hung it over our couch! He did this on his own while I was out yesterday to surprise me.  Here it is framed.

The frame does really set it off. It's a good thing I don't have much money. I'd have a house full of paintings I'd bought from PB members, and then I'd have to dust them all, and have no time to paint myself!
