It's lovely, Liz.  Aahh, the turquoise waters! So beautiful.

Did some glazing for highlights and to add more color saturation.  Wish I could go and have a swim now!
Had to crop out a sliver of the right side to get it straight.  This is acrylic 11x14, for another fundraiser for Emily's high school.

Edited:  In looking at the palm I think it looks awfully scrawny so I will be making it taller and branches fuller.  So it's not done after all!  >:(

Is it better or what?

Super Liz, it makes me want to walk down the sand and feel the water lapping on my toes.

Hi Brian!  I saw a photo of this spot with a guy sitting in his beach chair at high tide and he had his feet in the water.  Shall we find this beach access for you?

    Oh! Liz, I was afraid of you adding things into the composition for it was beautiful but now with the palm tree it is even more beautiful.  Great job.

:thankyou: EVERYONE!  This forum is very special to me to be able to show my work here.  It is as public a place that I  feel 'safe' to share my art interests since I came aboard PB 5 years ago. It will be exciting to see what happens when my mini paintings are offered as donations in 2 weeks. You will be first to know how they ar

PATRICIA, thanks for your words of wisdom since I am trying to rid myself of bad habits of overworking my paints and/or fixing or adding something when I should put my brush down.  My last thoughts were if I should add a kayak or paddle boarder. But then I decided to show the beach as a secluded secret place the Lanikai people always wanted it to be.  It is an amazing feeling to put oneself into a painting which I always want to do.
EMMALEE, when you're doing a lot of thinking about your painting you're probably doing the same thing, too!  :) Liz
