Val, Western supermarket oranges are dyed orange. The original oranges were rather greenish. Maybe you are eating the traditional fruit. The point is... are they nice to eat? I do love these bright lemons. Kathy, the blue stripe on the tea towel is so real it makes me nostalgic.  We don't see many of these linen tea towels any more. Maybe you could do orange oranges on a tea towel with a red stripe next and make both Val and me ecstatic?

I love the composition.  The colours have a Scadinavian look to it... dear to my heart.  Beautiful!
Cheers, Annie

Hi Kathy, your painting is good, but I am a bit puzzled... where does the light come from?  ???

Gita:  The light is from the middle left.  It is an odd placement but it worked for the effect.

Crap!  I ate it. Forgot to take the photo, next trip. They are delicious to eat, and juice? Wow!  :licklips:   The fun part is you're never sure exactly what colour the inside will be. It can be everything from a yellowy orange, to bright orange, or a orangey red! The skins are yellowy green to dark green and almost always have brown to dark brown spots. They look nasty, but cut one open..... heaven!  :cloud9:
Cheers, Val
