Thank goodness, you are safe and dry.

Wish others had been as lucky.

Lots of prayers are needed.  The river is in people's homes, and we are coming up to high tide again in a few hours.

:thankyou:  Mysti for keeping us informed. PLEASE stay safe, I felt sick in the stomach when I read that homes are flooded now and that you are coming up to high tide in a few hours.  Rest assured of my prayers for your safety.

Hi, Patricia.  It is heartbreaking what some are dealing with.  I am thankful people followed evacuation orders and to my knowledge no one died due to staying when they shouldn't.

:thankyou:  Misty for the update and yes, what a blessing that no lives were lost because of staying when they should have evacuated.  Stay safe Misty and I pray that everything will return to some semblance of order sooner than expected.   Patricia

Thoughts are with all our Southern neighboors facing one storm after the other, those displaced, the damages...

We are glued to the news every night hoping for good news.  We have been complaining all summer of the constant smoke from fires, and the never ending dryness (last rain early June)... but suxdently noboy complains anymore... we would love to upload some of your rain and make it easier on Floridians.

Cheers, Annie

Hello to you all!  I have just seen this thread!  Thank you to all for your concern and prayers.  Thank you for sharing my info with the group Kathy.  I'm pleased to hear that you came through the storm too Mysti.

We were very fortunate that the storm moved west because we missed the very high winds and only lost trees and gutters.  My big concern was flooding as we live on a canal.  Once again we were fortunate because although it crested the water didn't get near the house.

My prayers and thought right now are for the islanders in the Caribbean who have lost everything.  🙏🙏🙏

Happy to hear you fared well from Irma and share your concern for those in the Caribbean who have had heir lives literally torn apart by both hurricanes.

Just reading this post - so glad Mysti and Jill did well through the storm. My heart is breaking for those in the Caribbean, and of course for the good people in Mexico City dealing the the earthquake. Scary times...
Cheers,
Sharon
