To all our Floridian members in Irma's path, please keep safe and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this horrific time.
I think of Jill, Maria Canino and many others who are in harm's way and who have had to evacuate.  Be strong and console yourselves in the thought that this too, will pass.

:thankyou:   We are in Florida, but not in an evacuation zone, so we have hunkered down and as ready as we can be.  I spent last weekend shopping for things like fruit and root veggies that will stay good without refrigeration.  We also have a generator and can keep the fridge powered. We expect to be without power at least two days here.

I will check in when it has passed and Internet is available.

So pleased to hear that you are safe Mysti, keep it that way.  I will be so pleased when all this bad weather ceases. It is such a worry and concern for you all.  I continually keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

I heard from Jill just a few minutes ago. She is in Ft Lauderdale. Below is the last message I got from her.

Jill Says:
Hello!  Checking into say we are still okay.  Winds have dropped a little with some gusting. But definitely calmer.  The water for now is okay.  Expect a lot of rain on and off tonight.  Dinner tonight was Herbalife shakes, and fruit salad.  The only thing that would have improved it would have been a nice cub of hot green tea.  Oh well!  It will have to be cold😀.

At this point I'm feeling a little calmer.  Thanks to all for your love and caring.  It has been good to have someone to share the concern with.  We should all sleep a little better tonight.  Have just spoken to Kerry. They are safe and well.  Kisses and hugs for all😀

Thank you!

We are going to start getting bands of hurricane storm within the next hour or so.  We have had a nor'easter for the last two days, and it has dumped a ton of rain ahead of the hurricane.  There are already flooded streets and power outages.  We are prepared for the worst and hoping for the best.

Praying for those on the west coast that are getting hit much harder than we are here on the east coast.  Hopefully they are in a shelter or got out in time.

I'm glad you are okay, Mysti. What part of Florida are you in?  Be safe. Definitely praying for everyone who has been in the path of Irma. 🙏🏼

Thank you!  We are okay so far, but not getting much sleep.  I am near Jacksonville in NE Florida.

O0 O0  Thank heavens Mysti and Jill are safe and I hope that goes for all others in Irma's path.  Kathy thanks for letting us know about Jill too.  Keep praying and believe for the best.   Patricia

The storm has passed by with some light gusts expected tonight.  Wind will be back to normal in the morning.

We have some seriously bad flooding in town because of the nor'easter/hurricane combo.  This will be a problem for days until the water can recede.  We are high and dry and fine.  Still no power, but plenty of supplies to get through.

Thank you for the thoughts and prayers.   :smitten:
