This is my trial to do something digital again. Did this on my IPad with the software " Procreate". All comments are welcome.

Gita - it's incredibly well done.  I just am amazed at this digital art concept.

Just curious - but how long did it take to do that and how long do you think it would have taken using line and wash?

Thank you Mea, must have sat on this for one and a half hours. I did this while quietly sitting beside my daughter who is a bit sick. So I kept myself busy with my IPad.
Difficult to say, I think a line wash would have taken me the same amount of time.
I enjoyed trying the various tools in this software.

:heeha:I am so impressed, Gita. I have played with Procreate a bit and have not found the tools comfortable to work with. Your dog looks fabulous.

Thankyou Val, Kathy.
There is a tutorial about Procreate in you tube, Kathy. There are some artists out there whose digital work is simply breathtaking. Have a long way to go....

Oh! Gita, I have just enquired about your dog which I saw in the gallery but not in the challenge ... had no idea that it was digitally done. Very interesting indeed. However, all this modern technology is way above my head.  When I left the work force, we only had typewriters!!!

Hope that your daughter is feeling better.

Thank you Patricia, I did not put this in the drawing challenge since this is a digital painting. I wanted to do this in pen and ink but my malade daughter needed me on that day where I had planned to do this. I could not resist trying this dog in some medium while sitting beside her bed. Since she was sleeping most of the time I could concentrate on this software and I am surprised of the result.
I had started to draw digitally a year ago and was pleased not to have forgotten how to use the buttons. Actually, I personally think the digital medium is going to revolutionise the artist world - if not already. All the Disney and cartoon movies are more or less digitally drawn. I love watching these movies to see the artistic work behind it.
I also find it convenient to draw sketches or try out colours digitally before trying on canvas.  :D

This is done with pen and ink and colour pencils on Hemp paper (courtesy and thanks to Mea).
If the digital one is not a medium to be presented than I would consider submitting this one. If this is considered as mixed media, than I could submit the plain pen and ink.
Val, I need your opinion to this.

Gita

Both look great, but the colored on is extra good.

How did you like working on the hemp paper?  I don't think I have tried it for ink,

Gita, your coloured version would be considered mixed media. I do hope you will enter your b/w drawing.

Mea, I think Hemp paper looks so nice with its rough surface. The surface looks special with the small pieces of Hemp.
The nib of my dip pen felt scratchy while working on the paper but the ink does get absorbed well. On the whole, may be it's easier to work on a smooth surfaced paper.
I shall try Gouache on this paper next.

Gita,

I am happy the hemp paper made its way to you half way around the world and that you are enjoying working with it.
