Post your drawing for August 2017 Challenge here.

1/ Post only one drawing per person. Post only your finished drawing. If you need help, post it in the encourager section.

2/ Do your best to keep your entry as close as possible to the original Challenge photo. Please DO NOT make additions to the subject unless otherwise stated. We try to maintain a fair and equal field for all entries from beginner to advanced.
Feel free to use the subject photos in your own creation BUT place it in the Encourager section, NOT in the challenge. Thank you for your ongoing support of these challenges.

3/ Any SINGLE dry drawing medium may be used....Graphite, Coloured Pencil (lead), Charcoal, or Ink may be used. If it is not specifically listed, DON'T USE IT! If you are unsure, PM me directly.

4/ When posting your entry, please list type of pencil used. Not mandatory, but appreciated as it may help someone with less experience.

5/ HAVE FUN !!!

Cheers, Val

We have been up north at the Sunshine coast in Qld for a few weeks and now back home to my cold place of Canberra.

Today i had to sit here waiting for tradesmen so decided to have a go at drawing this beautiful dog.

So this is my entry. Not sure what the paper as i was given some off cuts sometime ago. Drawn with graphite pencils.

Lovely drawing of the dog.  Love the look in his eye.  He's thinking of getting into trouble.

Looks great Teresa!

So funny hearing someone from Canberra, my family is telling me how cold it is at the moment haha. I'm from Canberra but currently in Seattle so it's pretty darn hot here.

:thankyou: Mae,Val, Therese. The photo was taken on my Samsung tablet so doesn't show all the details but it's easier to take a photo to put up on the PB website with the tablet.

EmmaLee thank for your comment, as i love your dog paintings and this means alot.

Thank you Mez and we Aussies are everywhere. Yes it's been avery cold winter with frosts nearly everyday in Canberra. My daughter now lives at the Sunshine Coast and I don't think they even have a winter up there.

:thankyou: Harald. I just followed the light and dark shades. Have a go it was fun. I  did surprise myself with the finished drawing.

 :thankyou: Patricia and Annie.
