First attempt at watercolour with a little pen thrown in. Wanted to create an atmospheric picture, concentrated on the sky.

Very dramatic look, Liz.  Really moves the viewer to want to develop a story around it.

When I first saw this I wasn't sure what I was seeing.... once I blew it up I had to shudder. Shipwrecks have that effect on me.  :eyesclosed:

Very dramatic, moody scene. Great job.
Cheers, Val

Very dramatic indeed! Not sure if there are opportunities to lighten up the boat a bit. It seems to get lost in the mountain. Maybe lighter on the left side and darker on the right. Especially where the boat meets the ground. It seems too light there.

Bravo on your first attempt at watercolor!! I'm impressed and hope you'll continue in this medium.
Cheers,
Sharon

    Good job Liz.  I would agree with Sharon about lightening up the boat for it is somewhat lost in the mountain/greenery.
