It's a good painting, done well that also has the viewer wondering about the owner of the hat and where he is and what he is doing... :) ...I love it!!!   :smitten:

:thankyou: Dennis, Linley, Win, Mary Lou and Gita for the lovely compliments! And yes, Dennis - now that you mention it, I do see the triangle! I originally noticed the rule of thirds when I found the ref photo...you've trained my eyes to look for that!

And isn't it fun to imagine what the owner of the hat is doing? A siesta is one thought. I think he's probably doing the salsa on the street with a cute senorita and threw his hat on the chair to get it out of his way!!
Cheers,
Sharon

Just picked up this painting from the framer - sent a photo to a collector of mine - and she bought it!! The framer did an awesome job - the inner May is the same blue as the band around the hat. The outer mat is linen. And he found an orange hued frame to pull it all together!! The client will hang this in her Tahoe vacation condo. So glad it's found a new home!
Cheers,
Sharon

I would have bought this too! It has a Cuban flair which I love. I think Lloyd is quite pleased that we have no walls to fill.... and even more.... Guatemala has no mail service here!  :2funny:

:thankyou: Mea and Val! And Val - :2funny: :2funny:!! I think that's the biggest reason I try to sell my art vs keeping it - wall space!!
