 Patty, I am not at all surprised that you turned out such a beautiful piece of work...in pastels nonetheless
Not even a smudge....Kudos yo you.
When I look at him, the glitter in his soft eyes, the subtle turn of the head, he seems to be asking me if I want to be his friend... the answer is YES!

I wanted to challenge myself with something I do not usually do.  I always try and avoid portraits or faces in my paintings.  Then I thought I would try a portrait with line an wash to see if I could make that work.  Here is my attempt:

Thank you Val,  :thankyou: ahhh, the terrible twos, I know it well, my grandson recently turned 3 and we are all happy to have that behind us!  He looks like a cute little guy, though, and I am sure terrible twos or not, a blessing to his family.

Thanks Patricia, you are always so kind.  :thankyou:

Mary Lou

This is excellent.  It has such simplicity.  Fabulous as a line and wash.

 Mary Lou, you don't have to avoid painting faces anymore  :smitten: you captured the little girl's expression  of wonderment quite accurately. She wants to know if you still love her after she ventured into the cookie  jar.  Your painting style is unique and that speaks for itself.
